Marie Chattaway

I am an integrative counsellor committed to supporting personal growth, resilience, and emotional well-being. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and unlock their full potential within a supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental space.

With over ten years of experience working across the mental health and education sectors, I have developed a deep understanding of diverse lived experiences. These roles have enabled me to connect authentically with individuals from all walks of life, fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships built on trust, respect, and empathy.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches, including Creative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), talk therapy, and Person-Centred therapy. This flexible approach allows me to tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals, ensuring therapy feels relevant, supportive, and empowering. My work is particularly effective for individuals experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions.

I practice in line with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) ethical framework, ensuring my work is professional, safe, and client-focused. I uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and respect, creating a secure environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly and without fear of judgment.

What sets my approach apart is my belief in collaboration. I don’t simply provide tools and techniques — I offer a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Together, we will explore your challenges, identify your strengths, and develop practical strategies that promote lasting positive change.

Clients who work with me often experience increased self-awareness and confidence, a deeper understanding of their emotions and behaviours, effective tools for managing stress and anxiety, and a renewed sense of purpose and empowerment in their personal and professional lives.

My practice is inclusive and affirming, welcoming clients from all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. I am deeply committed to creating a safe and respectful space where everyone feels valued and supported.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking clarity and direction, I am here to help. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities for growth and positive change. If you’re ready to take the first step toward a more fulfilling life, I warmly invite you to get in touch.
