James Devine


My name is James Devine I am a mental wellbeing practitioner I live and work in Paignton Devon.
I have always been helping people in one way or another,I am the eldest of 4 children, I was always looked upon to look after my brothers and sister. I have been a senior manager and have been   guiding and coaching staff through various events in their lives.
However my Wellbeing practitioner journey started 3 years ago, after I had a my own personal breakdown caused by not dealing with my brother’s suicide 19 year ago.
I like many other people in that position sort help from the nhs, unfortunately for me it was a soulless experience. Now I am not knocking the nhs because they do a fantastic job under some very difficult circumstances and restrictions.
However I felt personally that I had to find another way to deal with what I was going on in my life.
That is when I decided to  study in positive psychology, ie cbt nlp and EQ. As well as mindfulness and strategic life coaching.
I found a new thirst for knowledge and proceeded to learn more about holistic health care learning. ie reiki and EFT/TFTand massage.
I am a member of the CTAA (Complementary Therapists Accredited Association).

Thought Field Therapy

Emotional Freedom Techniques is a form of counseling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine – including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy.
