Faye Westwood

Hello, my name is Faye, and I’m an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor.

I offer a warm, compassionate, and supportive environment where individuals can feel seen, heard, and valued — something I am deeply passionate about.

As a mother of a large family, now all grown, I understand the challenges that arise at each developmental stage. This experience has inspired my therapeutic work with children and young people aged 8–18. I provide a nurturing space where they can feel safe and listened
to, with opportunities to express themselves through a range of creative activities.

My focus is on supporting emotional growth, resilience, and self-understanding.

I believe in empowering individuals to make their own choices wherever possible. I gently explore likes, dislikes, and personal preferences — creativity may be helpful for some young
people, but it isn’t essential. My therapeutic approach is always tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of life experiences. Whether a young person or adult is living with diagnosed or undiagnosed conditions, I meet them exactly where they are. I embrace each person’s individuality and
work in a way that honours their unique needs. No two people are the same, and everyone deserves to be seen as the individual they are.
During the first session with a young person, I invite caregivers to stay if they wish. This offers space to ask questions, settle your child, and ease any worries either of you may have.

Individual Counselling with Adults

I work with you as an individual — I see you — and adapt my approach to suit your unique requirements.
Counselling provides a compassionate space to explore current issues at a pace that feels right for you, whether you prefer to lead the process or welcome gentle guidance.
Together, we can explore how you’re feeling in the present while also working through past or ongoing experiences.
We may look at how your body holds and responds to trauma, grief, loss, depression, stress, and anxiety. I encourage grounding and regulation techniques that you can take into everyday life.
As an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, my approach is flexible and collaborative. While rooted in Person-Centred practice, I can integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
Gestalt, Transactional Analysis (TA), and Mindfulness where helpful.
I offer a calm, warm, and empathetic space that is confidential and non-judgmental. Here, you can explore your experiences safely, feeling heard, understood, and valued.
