Hi, I am Christie; I work as a Hypnotherapist & Reiki Healing Practitioner here at the Devon Clinic. My aim is to support, rebuild, nurture, and empower. I offer a confidential, safe, and non-judgmental space to talk through what’s going, meeting you in the here and now, and walking alongside you on the journey to where you want to be.

I appreciate how much courage it takes to reach out for support and use a person-centred, individual, and pluralistic approach to enable best support for you. Meaning I see you as the unique individual you are and have the understanding no two clients or subject is ever the same, we each have a unique story and perspective.

Working pluralistically means I use different holistic and therapeutic modalities and techniques to meet your needs best. I also utilise the extensive team at the clinic, and colleagues & contacts gained throughout my varied trainings and practice in mental health and holistic support (since 2020). I will signpost or refer onto another practitioner or service that may be more suited or if another practitioner/therapy may work well alongside our sessions I would discuss this is necessary too.

Talking Therapy

For sessions to work I offer open communication, feedback between us, and find working ethically and honestly for your best interest of utmost importance for the therapeutic relationship to flourish and grow. Ultimately allowing you space to voice if something isn’t working or if something is working particularly well, enabling best results from sessions.

I look to work with what is being brought to each session and overall help build self-awareness and empowerment. If required, we can reprocess past events or painful memories in a safe manner, or look at survival techniques that may be held tightly inside, causing internal conflict, or behaviours and reactions (internally or externally) you don’t necessarily need now.

I added Reiki to my therapeutic ‘toolbox’ as a way to release trauma held in the body. As practitioners, we work as a channel for the healing energy to enter your body and work where it needs to in order to release any energy, pain or discomfort that is not serving you a purpose. Reiki will never do harm.

Please note Christie is not currently accepting any new Hypnotherapy or Reiki clients due to Maternity leave (as of July 2025).
