What is Avoidant Personality Disorder?

AvPD is a cluster of personality disorder. Those with the condition display social inhibition, extreme sensitivity to negative evaluation and display feelings of inadequacy. Many desire to be socially inclusive but tend to avoid social situations.

Common signs of the disorder are being uncomfortable in social situations and feeling inept around others. Comments regarding shyness and nervousness feel like criticism and rejection.
