Helen Scadding - Counsellor

Feeling lost or overwhelmed? A supportive space to find your way forward with Helen

Hi, I’m Helen. I am a qualified counsellor offering you a safe, supportive, collaborative space

  • to talk
  • to reflect
  • to explore
  • to gently challenge
  • to reassess priorities and goals
  • to look at options

You may be feeling stuck and unsure. You may be feeling unhappy or depressed. You may have experienced a bereavement, or a life changing experience, and cannot see the way forward in a life you did not want or expect and have not planned for. You may have lost confidence, or feel you have lost your way. Maybe nothing seems to make sense anymore.

Counselling is one step you can take that can lead to greater understanding of yourself, others and the circumstances that can block our paths -it is a significant step, but you do not need to do it alone.

My training

I am trained as an Integrative Humanist Counsellor meaning that I am trained to meet your unique needs by using relevant aspects of person-centred, gestalt and cognitive behavioural therapy. I primarily use a person-centred approach, working to understand your experiences from your perspective and at your pace. I have also received training in bereavement counselling and trauma. I have worked professionally in both the voluntary and public sector on health, equal opportunities, employment rights and domestic abuse.
